We’re back for a new round of NYC Best Weekday Bets! Each day will feature a top pick in the areas of 1. fitness (active), 2. comedy, 3. culture, 4. film, 5. food + drink, 6. free, 7. music and 8. staying in (because let’s face it, sometimes you just want to not leave your couch, especially when it continues to be cold AF outside). Lots on the books this first couple of weekdays INCLUDING but not limited to black metal yoga, hang times with Nigella Lawson, a screening of Ghost World (our GIF theme) and MORE:
Monday, April 9
ACTIVE: Planning to dust off ye olde bicicleta this spring? Hit up a bike tire changing clinic at Toga – no bike necessary, just show up and take notes!
COMEDY: Oh my god, it’s the Jessica vs. Ashlee Simpson edition of Battle of the Divas at Union Hall tonight and OBVIOUSLY I WANT ALL OF US TO GO! Matteo Lane, Christi Chiello, Mo Fry Pasic and more will be there, and tickets are $10 each.
CULTURE: Pop over to Lincoln Center for a free talk by the New York Philharmonic titled “Fact or Fiction? ‘Amadeus’ and the Portrayal of an Artist”.
FOOD + DRINK: Head to A Taste of Scotland at the University Club for whiskey, food ‘n words! Tickets are $85 each.

MUSIC: Obviously hit up LPR for a show from The Go! Team tonight! Tickets are $20 a pop.
STAY IN: Will I ever not suggest pounding back to back episodes of Antiques Roadshow on PBS? (To be determined.)
Tuesday, April 10
ACTIVE: It’s time again to go for a run and get a free drink from Shake Shack in return! Details here.
COMEDY: Get to Union Hall, ’cause the How I Learned series is back at it again w/ Aparna Nancherla, Isaac Fitzgerald and more! Tickets are $8-$10.

MUSIC: Tonight catch Lissy Trullie at Baby’s All Right for $10-$15!
STAY IN: La Casa De Papel (or Money Heist in English) is back on Netflix w/ Part Two, and it is SO GOOD. Sorry to ruin whatever productivity you had planned. Also, make sure to switch the audio back to Spanish w/ English subtitles, because it automatically makes it English dubbed, which is SO ANNOYING.
