FOOD + DRINK: Explore the relationship between the culinary and the cultural over at Pratt’s Higgins Hall Auditorium! There’ll be a panel exploring the innovations and intersections between food, design and culture, and it’s free and open to the public!
FREE: Head to Bluestockings for the anniversary edition of Get On The Stage, an open mic based around uplifting and centering the voices of Queer/Trans People of Color, Trans, Two Spirit, Gender Non-Conforming, Non-Binary, Intersex and anyone who falls between the margins of these Western labels! Speakers can bring poems, prose, music, stand-up and spoken word of any kind, and while cis white queer folks are prohibited from performing, they’re encouraged to turn out to show support. Free!

CULTURE: Parsons will present an artist talk w/ Kelsey Wroten, who will investigate the way in which the medium of comics helps to create fully-fleshed out queer characters in a culture that frequently tries to tokenize them. Free and open to the public!

FOOD + DRINK: The International Culinary Center will host a talk on all things umami this afternoon, so if you’re curious to learn more about the fifth taste, then bunk off work a little early and head on over!

CULTURE: The BRIC OPEN, an arts and ideas festival that converges around BRIC’s core values of creativity, inclusion, participation and community, kicks off TODAY! The programming will be focused around the theme of justice, and it’s all free to attend!
FILM: Tonight’s flick pick (PICK FLICK!) is a $7 20th anniversary screening of Election at Syndicated, duh!
FOOD + DRINK: It’s a new edition of Cookbook Club at Archestratus, and this time it’s gonna be a potluck inspired by Ronna Welsh’s The Nimble Cook! Free to attend, just be sure to bring a dish from the book to share!
