IT’S HALLOWEEKEND, Y’ALL! If you’re not planning on spending it watching spooky things on your couch (I am in the process of rewatching all of The Haunting of Hill House, because there are SO many things I missed the first time around, and also I talked about it the whole time at my therapist appointment this week) there’s PLENTY to do out on ye olde town! From Riverdale Live to a Halloween spirit seance to a Suspiria (our GIF theme) party at Videology (which is about to shutter, so go hang out while the hangin’s good), NYC is truly bringing the seasonal vibes. Before we dive into all of that, here’s some rad stuff you might’ve missed on BYT this week if you were too busy trying to decide on your costume:

  • I interviewed the co-hosts of my favorite paranormal podcast, That’s The Spirit, about all things ghoulish!
  • Speaking of ghosts, Paul Hammer from Savoir Adore (who just released the first half of a new two-part record) told me about how the ghost of a little girl freaked the hell out of him in a hotel room one night!
  • I also spoke to Duke from Garbage about what we can expect at their Version 2.0 show this Saturday…
  • …and Brandon Wetherbee reviewed the band’s stop in DC so you’ll get a feel for how SPECIAL it’ll be!
  • AND Hippo Campus talked to me about how if the band were a burger, it’d be a spicy chicken sandwich! Which is not a burger, but that’s okay!
