I had a radio show that only played bands performing in the District. That show is super dead, so we’ve resurrected it (with way more words and far less radio) in the form of this column. Every day I’ll review a song from a band playing in D.C. that night. The rules are, 1. I can only listen to the song once and 2. I only have until the end of the song to finish my review.

SEAHAVEN – IT’S OVER

Whoa. The way this guy enunciates is super strange. It’s almost like he has a little country twang, but then sometimes it doesn’t sound that way at all. This is full of emo / angsty boy band vibes, which I’m always about, so I’m enjoying that.  I probably would have loved this song when I was in middle school, and I’m definitely having a good time listening to it now, So not much has changed. Not much at all.

You can see Seahaven tonight at the Rock and Roll Hotel.
