Once upon a time, I had a radio show that only played bands currently performing in the District. That show is super dead, so we’ve resurrected it (with way more words and far less radio) in the form of this column. Every day I’ll review a song from a band playing in D.C. that night. The rules are, 1. I can only listen to the song once and 2. I only have until the end of the song to finish my review.

SARA CURTIN – SUMMER

This is really beautiful and ethereal sounding. I like the super subtle tambourine. It’s very easy going and laid back. Sara Curtin has a really beautiful voice. This is a good song. I really like the quick tempo changes. Go see this band at Ft. Reno tonight. I don’t think you’ll regret it. Also, there are a lot of sparklers in the music video and sparklers are awesome. Bring some sparklers.

You can see Sara Curtin tonight at Ft. Reno.
