I had a radio show that only played bands performing in the District. That show is super dead, so we’ve resurrected it (with way more words and far less radio) in the form of this column. Every day I’ll review a song from a band playing in D.C. that night. The rules are, 1. I can only listen to the song once and 2. I only have until the end of the song to finish my review.
Doe Paoro – Walking Backwards
Usually I go for a band’s most popular music video on YouTube when I’m looking for a song, but this is actually Doe Paoro’s second most popular music video. I chose it because it looks fucking gorgeous, so even if this song blows, we can all have a great time watching the music video on mute. So far the song doesn’t suck, so everyone is winning. This is like… sad sex music. Like weird awkward crying snotty sex. Yeah. Totally. This is great.
