I had a radio show that only played bands performing in the District. That show is super dead, so we’ve resurrected it (with way more words and far less radio) in the form of this column. Every day I’ll review a song from a band playing in D.C. that night. The rules are, 1. I can only listen to the song once and 2. I only have until the end of the song to finish my review.

DAIS – WAVE

I have no idea what these noises are but they sound cute. Just real cute. Like two robots falling in love. This should have been in the soundtrack to Her. All these blips and beeps and hums sound so soothing. I am not the kind of person who meditates but if I was I would listen to this song. I wish there was a music video for thus song because you could go in so many directions and I bet it would be real cool. I have no idea what it would sound like to experience this live with a crow of people, but I’m really enjoying listening to it alone at my desk.

You can see Dais tonight at Black Cat.
