It’s really happening…The All-Star game is here! In D.C.! July 13 – 17! American League versus National League! Can you tell I don’t know a lot about baseball! Navy Yard is ready to show off with a week full of events, movies, art, and fun. Put your jersey on and go see cool things and eat good food!

MLB Assembly

When: July 13 – 16

Where: District Pier @ The Wharf

Details: Head to The Wharf for a baseball themed art, fashion, and music experience. MLB Assembly will take place across four days with DJ lineups, cool art, and style drops.

All-Star FanFest

When: July 13 -17

Where: Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mt Vernon Pl NW, Washington, DC

Details: For five days D.C. will be lucky enough to home The All-StarFanFest where you can meet baseball legends, get cool swag, and collect some autographs.

All-Star Summer Riverfest

When: July 14 – July 15, 1 p.m. – 5  p.m.

Where: Yards Park and Boardwalk

Details: Yards Park will turn into a crazy cool free festival for the whole family with live music, bars, food, photo booths, baseball themed activities, and games.

Capitol Riverfront Friday Night Concert Series in Yards Park

When: Friday, July 13. 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Where: Yards Park

Details: Enjoy a free waterfront concert by 19th Street Band then head to dinner at one of the many cool restaurants around the neighborhood.

The Color Run All-Star 5K Presented by Nike

When: Saturday, July 14. 8 a.m.

Where: Yards Park

Details: If celebrating a physical activity with a physical activity sounds like your thing, The Color Run All-Star 5K is perfect for you. The race is Saturday and a check in party will take place Friday.

All-Star Basball Film Festival @ American History Museum

When: July 12 -15

Where: 1300 Constitution Ave NW, Washington, DC

Details: Warner Theater in The American History Museum will be showing baseball flicks throughout the All-Star game week. Catch a showing of “Eight Men Out”, “A League of Their Own”, “42”, “Sugar”, “Field of Dreams”, “The Natural”, “Moneyball”, and “The Pride of the Yankees”.

All-Star Film Festival

When: July 12 – 15

Where: National Museum of American History

Details: Head to the National Museum of American History where they’re showing your favorite baseball themed movies like “Field of Dreams”, “42”, and “A League of Their Own”. There will also be a free ballpark themed cooking demonstration on Friday, July 13 from 1-2 p.m. where you can learn more about the beautiful couple that is food and baseball.

Baseball’s “Magna Carta” @ Library of Congress

When: June 29, on display for a year

Where: 101 Independence Ave SE, Washington, DC

Details: “The Laws of Baseball” aka “The Magna Carta” of the game will be on display at the Library of Congress with their new exhibition “Baseball Americana”.

MLB All-Star Week Panel @ East City Book Shop

When: Monday, July 16

Where: 645 Pennsylvania Ave SE #100, Washington, DC

Details: Take in a panel discussion on the history and legacy of Major League Baseball with David Rapp, Fred Frommer and Aviva Kempner at East City Book Shop.

Outdoor Screening of “The Sandlot”

When: July 15, around 9 p.m.

Where: Yards Park

Details: Catch a showing of “The Sandlot” at Yards Park for free. Make a picnic out of it.

Outdoor Screening of “A League of Their Own”

Details: The Salt Line will be opening up a Jack Daniel’s All Star Park in their outdoor lounge area at 3 p.m. July 14-17. They’ll be grilling up half smokes and lobsters as well as offering up oysters on the half shell and grilled. They’re also open until midnight for after-game drinks.

Upscale Tailgate @ District Winery

Where: 385 Water St SE, Washington, DC

Details: If you like your celebrations slightly more elevated, District Winery near the water will be opening their rooftop terrace to the public for the second time ever. An All-Star wine flight will be offered for $14 as well as hot dogs, burgers (meat and veggie), and an All-Star punch.
