It’s going to be cold tomorrow. Like, very cold. The kind of cold that will give you frostbite if you stay outside too long. Don’t get frostbite.

Here are some functional and (mostly) fashionable coats for every type of male and every type of activity. Every type of cold activity.

For the more stylish, but functional wearer

North Face Triclimatic Exertion

This coat will keep you warm from rain, snow, or wind, and you won’t look like a marshmallow. Coming in a lot of easy-to-match colors, you can wear it with pretty much anything.

For the more fashionable/artsy/hipster man

Kenneth Cole New York Classic Peacoat

While this coat is definitely stylish, it is not actually that warm. If you need a coat just to wear to look good for a short walk from your car to a building then this is a good call. Otherwise, I’d invest in some long underwear too.

For the bros

Fox Bionic Sweeper Jacket

Comfortable and casual, but not too fashion-forward, it’s functional for whatever bro-activities you feel like getting yourself into. While you’re at it you might as well get some of the new Yeezus merchandise at PacSun because that’s pretty bro too.

For the guy outside a lot, but not often in bad weather

L.L. Bean Original Field Coat with Primaloft Liner

While it is not the most weather-resistant of coats, the liner will keep you warm and looking casual in the cold weather. You should also invest in these Touchscreen Multisport Power Stretch Gloves because they are warm and cool looking and you can use your touchscreen device with them too.

For the guy that doesn’t want to wear a giant winter coat and might be cold and get sick

Patagonia Down Sweater Vest

Your arms are going to be cold, but the down part of this jacket will keep your torso nice and toasty.

For the athletic man

Men’s ColdGear Infrared Armour Fleece Storm Hybrid Hoodie

It get’s hard to stay active in a giant coat, so go for the Men’s ColdGear Infrared Armour Fleece Storm Hybrid Hoodie (we know it’s a mouthful, but it’s pretty sweet). Not a heavy coat, but it will keep you warm while staying active and it comes in multiple colors, none of which are too flashy, making it a functional and fashionable coat. You should also go for this Under Armour Men’s ColdGear Infrared Kick Asphalt Beanie (it’s a pun, get it?). It comes in normal colors and bright colors, whatever floats your boat, and will keep your ears and head warm while working out.

For skiing and running around in the snow

North Face Men’s Nuptse 2 Jacket

If you’re not coming in contact with below freezing temperatures or snow, then you might just look kind of dumb since it makes you look like the Michelin Man. If it’s freezing and there is ice or snow falling from the sky, wear this.
