After a long recovery from traveling to Miami for Ultra a couple weeks ago, I finally decided to muster the strength and courage to travel elsewhere and spread BYT Love.
It’s that time again in University of Pennsylvania for the Spring Fling. This years showcase is Tiësto with an opening set by Passion Pit. The Spring Fling is an annual festival for students at the end of each spring semester, beginning on Friday and ending on Saturday night. Spring Fling is only for UPenn Students only. Last years performers of Choice were Ratatat, Flo Rida and Lupe Fiasco.
Tiësto’s monumental set began for the sold out audience at Franklin Field and performed for 2 hours. People at these events never cease to amaze on how hard they can rage, and how hard they can dance and how insane they are (one student defied security and jumps on stage and on to Tiësto’s booth, and then break dances, while surprised security take forever to apprehend the overly excited raver). Tiësto’s remixes of Calvin Harris “Feel So Close” and Rihanna’s “We Found Love” were quite epic on the dance floor.
Tiësto ended his set at 11, while the crowd chanted his name, pleading for an encore. He obliged and performed “Maximal Crazy”. The cliche wording of “Epic” just doesn’t cut it for this particular event.
