Crash Boom Bang began their new year with a bang, selling out 9:30 Club.
The Washington DC based band has been around since the early 2000s. They’ve headlined 9:30 Club multiple times and always try to bring something new to the stage. Stage antics have included silly string, tiger/snowman mascots, and now, dancers.
Their showmanship and energetic stage presence never seems to disappoint their passionate and loyal fans. The venue was packed and the guys of CBB finally reached a goal and dream by selling out the legendary 9:30 Club for the first time.
Fans were surprised to find that Raul Rivero (former bassist) was no longer in the band. His departure didn’t hinder their performance but actually allowed for the rest of CBB to explore new options in the music. Raul was on site supporting his former band mates by filming the show.
A special encore performance followed, directly after Crash Boom Bang. The Speaks took the stage after 5 years. Chaucer Hwang (CBB guitarist) shared with the audience “they are the reason we are a band!” It was a special reunion for Crash Boom Bang to play with their friends The Speaks. 9:30 Club filled with friends, artists, video crew, old and new fans in the house to support Crash Boom Bang’s new movement.
