For all intents and purposes The Coathangers should be getting very famous any second now. The Atlanta girls are (super) cute, (super) sassy, (super) hooky and (super) pop culture savvy (their latest album LARCENY AND OLD LACE was named after a Mickey Rooney-guesting “Golden Girls” episode that was itself named after playwright Joseph Kesselring’s screwball comedy Arsenic and Old Lace and classic movie starring Cary Grant) and they are doing everything they’re doing for all the right reasons: to have fun.

Their touring schedule has been nothing short of insane (200+ dates, anyone?) and you can expect nothing short of a (proverbial) balls-to-the-walls performance when they take the stage tonight @ RED PALACE (which, btw-now does have a patio open as well, for those all important pre show drinks). Here, they walk us through a couple of tracks just so you’re not caught off guard:

“Trailer Park Boneyard” was inspired by our drive through Texas. Features Bebe Coathanger on guitar! We just filmed the video last week.

“Hurricane” was inspired by our friend Matt Muscle in New Orleans. He’s huge and he farts like thunder. He’s our good buddy!
