It’s officially summer, and in D.C. that means it’s time for The National Building Museum’s annual Summer Block Party, the installation series that transforms their Great Hall into an exciting interactive exhibit for visitors of all ages (Remember The BEACH?).
This year’s installation, LAWN, designed by the LAB at Rockwell Group, is exactly what it sounds like, a giant lawn in the middle of the museum where patrons can meet up, relax, play some games, and beat the heat outside. Complete with hammocks and audio programming by storytellers like Bette Midler and Whoopi Goldberg, LAWN is perfect for a lazy summer lounge.
LAWN runs through September 2nd at the National Building Museum. Tickets start at $16 and can be bought online or at the door.
