The Power of Positive Drinking: The Running of the Bros @ Port City Brewing Co.
The long Winter is over and at last the sun has turned its warmth on us once more. Spring is here to grace us with beautiful weather and the awakening of all of God’s creatures. The birds, the bees, the flowers and, of course, the bros. You may know them by many names, as there are many species. But each has their own distinct call. “Bro.” “Bruh.” “Brah.” “Broheem.” “Braj Mahal.” “Brosef Stalin.” Each year at this time, they shed their pea coats, don Ray Bans with sunglass straps attached and strut boldly from their over-priced domiciles wearing either pastel button-downs and boat shoes or flip-flops and neon tank tops. The Power of Positive Drinking would like to invite you to join us as we observe this marvel of the natural world as it unfolds before our very eyes. Commentary and narration to be provided by DC’s finest comedic talent. – FB

Janine Brito @ Drafthouse Comedy DC (13-14)
Janine Brito started doing standup comedy in St. Louis and has performed at clubs and theaters throughout the US and Hong Kong. Praised by 7×7 Magazine as “one of SF’s more daring voices” and one of “the 7 funniest people in town,” this fall she’ll head out on the road with fellow bay area comics, W. Kamau Bell and Nato Green, for their grassroots Laughter Against the Machine comedy tour to America’s most volatile political hotspots. A sarcastic, snarky smart bomb of comedy funk straight from the 80’s, Janine has been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle and The SF Weekly called her “a mean lesbian.” But she’s pretty sure that they meant it in a good way. – www.drafthousecomedy.com
