April 18th: Guiness Book of World Records Record Attempt @ U.S. Capitol Reflecting Pool – FREE

CALLING ALL COSPLAYERS. Awesome Con and the Museum of Science Fiction have teamed up to break the record for Largest Gathering of People Dressed Up As Comic Book Characters! The current record of 1,530 people was set in China, and we KNOW we can beat that, BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP. We’re asking for at least 1,531 awesome people to dress up as their favorite comic book superhero (the character MUST have appeared in comic books first, not TV, movies, or video games), and show up at the Reflecting Pool in front of the U.S. Capitol to show DC (and the world) that we are the capital city of cosplay!

Let us know on the event wall what awesome superhero (villains are okay, too) you’re going to dress up as! Spread the word and invite your friends! We can’t wait to see 1,500+ cosplayers on the streets of DC…it will be AWESOME.
