It’s the first-ever Dog Restaurant Week in NYC now thru August 25th (because of course it is!), which means you should 110% be bringing your pupper out for a meal! There are sixteen officially participating establishments, and the deals vary; some offer bill discounts or free menu items, some offer complimentary dog toys, but all allow your dog to join you at the table. (Outdoors, during certain hours and weather permitting, but hey! It’s something!) Plus Petminded, the organizer, will be collecting donations for Foster Dogs Inc and Muddy Paws Rescue throughout the week. What WE are here to talk about, though, is the restaurants offering dog-friendly menus! Holy shit! There are five of them doing this glorious work:

Boulton & Watt in the East Village

This week they’re serving up their special #BoultonAndWoof menu ft. peanut butter bones, steak tartare AND sweet potato jerky! Sounds fancy AF! Of course, there’s also people food options, so you can both enjoy ye olde dining experience.

The Wilson in Chelsea

Your dog can eat like a furry king at this one; they’re serving up ribeye steak, salmon and chicken breast, all specifically made to suit your dog’s tummy, but also totally human-friendly if you want to share. Wowee! According to Forbes, “The Wilson’s first dog menu includes a 16 oz grilled ribeye steak with  grilled baby vegetables and steak jus ($42), pan roasted true north salmon with steamed vegetables and lemon ($28), grilled chicken breast with baby vegetables ($16) and lighter sides like a bowl of sliced apples and heirloom carrots ($11) or a bowl of mixed berries ($14).” So definitely not cheap, but like, who else besides your dog are you actually willing to splurge on?
