Since not all of our readers live on the Internet, Monday through Friday, 9 to 5, we decided to revisit some of our daily highlights. Because we love you. Because we care.

All Week

We want you to spend some cash money making your style less like the Cash Money Millionaires. All week Brandon Weight, Svetlana and Emily told you exactly what you need to purchase to stay warm and look good staying warm. Check our their picks for the perfect winter pajamas, the best scarves and mittens, boots and socks to keep your feet warm, and the perfect winter hats for men and women.

After a very long Thanksgiving weekend, we kicked off the week with our Your Best December guide, our picks for all of the everything that you need for the rest of December. I had one of the best cocktails of my life thanks to the Gibson’s winter cocktail menu. I also had one of the worst. Jenn said goodbye to Paul Walker. Peter said goodbye to Turntable.fm. Hopefully Alan did not say a final goodbye to the Walkmen.

Big day in BYT land thanks to the announcement of our NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY! We’re good at those. You should buy tickets now. They increase in price next week. Embrace the capitalism of the holidays with our DC Holiday Market & Pop Up Shop Guide. We asked Ryan McLaughlin to tell us about playing music at an older age. We found out it fucking rules. We also asked food writer and family man Nevin Martell what’s in his fridge. He showed us.

Did you watch The Sound of Music Live? Did you use our Sound of Music Live drinking game guide? You might have enjoyed The Sound of Music Live more if you did. Josh spoke to Phantogram before their sold-out 9:30 Club show. You don’t need a drinking game to enjoy them. We published our DC Holiday Movie Guide. Dark theaters are better in December.

Thursday was the most festive day for BYT this week thanks to Andrew’s visit to Gingertown. It was delightful. The silent films are going away. That’s not delightful. Alan wrote a helpful primer for you to get familiar with some silent classics. Stephanie asked wine director for The Neighborhood Restaurant Group to keep a drink diary. He did. I don’t think I could be a wine director.

Since it’s December we had to interview John Waters about his Chrismas show. Andrew did a fine job. There are zero questions about Divine. Rec Room Therapy explored tracks from A$AP Nast ft. Method Man, Childish Gambino ft. Chance the Rapper and Migos. I learned what cool is about all. It’s about museums. I think. I got confused. Finally, Farrah gave us a First Look and Taste Test of the Dolcezza Gelato Factory. It looks amazing.
