Since green is the new everycolor, and since DC is universe’s most aware city (we can fight it but, we can’t deny it) expect a frenzy of excitement as tomorrow DC Environmental Film Festival (this year’s theme: importance of water) comes to town.
And stays in town till March 22nd (not so incidentally-World Water Day and will conclude with a panel discussion on striving for safe water across the globe.).
What to expect:
-The festival will feature 115 films from 30 countries playing at venues across the city.
– Tickets range from free (at Freer Sackler and other Smithosnian institutions) to $18
-Highlights include the premiere of the IMAX film Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk, The Ladybird Johnson movie, US premiere of the animated Aguas con el Agua and a free showing of Sundance favorite Flow: For Love of Water, which closes the festival
-Full (amazing looking if a little overwheling) schedule is available here: http://www.dcenvironmentalfilmfest.org/films.php
And don’t forget to hydrate.
