We have officially had a cold day this fall. Which means that it’s time to break out the hot ciders, Irish coffees, mulled wines, and other delicious drinks to warm the body and soul. At least until we can bask in the sun with mojitos.

Stop by Tryst any night of the week for happy hour specials from 4 to 7:00 p.m., including discounted drafts and cocktails. Stop by Monday-Thursday and Sundays to enjoy extra deals, such as $6 DMV drafts all night on Mondays. Prepare yourself for a tough week on Sundays with all night happy hour deals and $7 craft Irish coffees made with hand-shaken whipped cream, fresh sweetened drip coffee, and Irish whiskey. Beat the cold before it even has a chance to hit this winter.

Room 11

Room 11 is practically famous for its year-round mulled wine and rotating list of hot toddies in the winter. Each week you can try a different drink ranging from bright punches to bold toddies, though all are served warm. Try their delicious glögg, a Swedish-style mulled wine, complete with hot Cabernet, clove, ginger, cardamom, and orange.  mulled wine christmas GIFAmbar

Looking for something new to try? Rakia from Ambar is a delicious alternative to a mulled wine. Often served chilled in the summer and heated in the winter, rakia is a brandy made from fruit that is popular in the Balkans. Ambar’s rakia flights offer a chance to try several of the warm drinks this winter. Check it out for dessert after a delicious meal.

Cuba Libre

Nothing warms the soul and caters to the sweet tooth like a Café Cuba Libre. This drink combines authentic Cuban coffee with steamed whole milk for creaminess and steamed coconut milk for sweetness. Add a shot of spiced rum for just $3 for a fresh take on Irish coffee. Brunch, lunch, or dinner, this drink is a must-have on those chilly fall and winter days.

The Coupe

The Coupe has four unique hot cocktails for you to try on their menu. The Dixie Bull combines hot cider with rum and toasted anise, the Chocolate City Toddy is complete with scotch and cocoa black tea, the Bourbon Chai is pretty self explanatory and the Irish Coffee rounds things out in a traditional manner. Stop by any night to enjoy a warm drink after a long day at work.
