Remember the streetcar?! Remember the years of waiting for the streetcar?! Remember when the streetcar was finally finished and ready to go and very few people gave a fuck?! Of course you do! Unless you live / work on H Street, you’re probably definitely one of those people. Now that the weather is nice(er) and the spirit(s) of adventure are in the air, lets take a trip on down to H Street and check out some fun and flirty happy hour locations right on the streetcar line.

Stop: H & 3rd Street
Bar: Boundary Road

An old classic. We never get tired of swinging by Boundary Road for a drink, and now that the streetcar exists, you barely have to walk at all! From 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday and 2:30 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, enjoy $6 Old Fashioneds and Mini Vespas, $1 off beers and $7 wine. If you need something to graze on while you slam down those booze specials, hit up the $7 chicken wings, $8 pierogis and $12 cheese plates.

Stop: H & 5th Street
Bar: DC Harvest

Tired of the usual? Make this an excuse to check out a bar you’ve probably never visited! DC Harvest is pouring great $6 beers during their 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. happy hour, like the Port City Pilsner and the Hellbender Ignite IPA. There are also $6 wines and $8 cocktails like the American Pie (made with Ivy City gin) and the Kentucky Wedge. Follow them up with $3 lamb sliders, $6 bacon and asiago “doughnuts” and you’re good to go (take a nap).

Stop: H & 8th Street
Bar: The Haymaker Bar

If we keep thinking about the old Atlas Room space we’re going to cry, but The Haymaker Bar’s happy hour might just turn our sadness around! Unfortunately, we can’t say because there is literally no where credible on the Internet where we can find the specifics of their happy hour. We do know that it’s from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. everyday, but everything else is a mystery. Comment below with whatever information you have!

Stop: H & 13
Bar: Vendetta

Sure, you’ve been to Vendetta to get drunk and play bocce, but have you been to Vendetta to just be drunk? Probably not! Hop on that streetcar and make sure you don’t miss your stop because Vendetta is serving up $5 wines and you can get one whole dollar off of beers and rail drinks. Oh, and did we mention that happy hour lasts until 9 p.m. on Friday night?

Stop: Benning Rd
Bar: The Pursuit Wine Bar

From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday thru Friday make your way over to The Pursuit Wine Bar for $2 off glasses of wine. If that isn’t enough, apparently Monday is heavy pour night, which sounds perfect if not a little vague. Every night is heavy pour night in our hearts (and in our homes).
