If you were born and raised in D.C., being a Nats fan is probably just ingrained in your DNA. If you moved here sometime in your adult life, you may be a Nats convert fan who has grown immensely from that month-long period where you didn’t understand why half the city was wearing Walgreens Pharmacy hats. This week, we are bringing you all of the best baseball-related happy hours from around the city in honor of our very own Washington Nats.
Whether you’re an early bird happy hour person or a night owl, Agua 301 has deals for you. Full happy hour runs daily from 3:30pm to 7:00pm, though drink deals pick back up between 9:00pm and close. Enjoy $4 drafts, $5 wines by the glass, and $6 cocktails, plus a large menu of small plates as well. Snag two tacos for just $5 or share some guacamole and nachos with the table.
This massive outdoor venue opens two hours before every Washington Nationals home game. As if that wasn’t already great news, all drinks are $5 during the 3rd – 7th inning at The Bullpen. Now we’re not 100% sure how this game works, but we think that deal qualifies as a grand slam.
If you’re looking for some southern hospitality while you cheer on the Nats, then Due South is just the place for you. Serving up creative cuisine inspired by the Southern states, this restaurant has everything from in-house smoked meats to shrimp and grits. Even better than the food are the drink deals, $5 rail drinks, house wine, drafts, and bites every weekday from 3:30-6:30pm.
From now until the end of Nats season, Declaration will be serving up deals on game nights. From $5 beer to $7 pizza and more, you can be sure to enjoy some great prices while watching your favorite team. Watching games are always more fun in public when you can pig out on pizza and get drunk. Remember, drinks are there for you whether the Nats win or lose, always.
Head to The Big Stick, which is just right around the corner from Nats Stadium for happy weekday happy hours from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. In case you can’t snag a ticket, Justin’s Cafe has five huge flat screen TVs for your viewing pleasure. They also have weekday happy hour from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, which includes $3 drafts and $4 rail drinks. If you’re looking for the die hard Nats fans, they’re at Justin’s before, after, and sometimes even during the game.
