America is 238 this weekend. Wow. That’s old. In celebration of the day there are a ton of parties and drink specials. So avoid the tourists, get drunk, and party.
Jack Rose Dining Saloon: Jack Rose is throwing two beer-centric parties for Independence Day. On July 3 celebrate “Wet Hot Samerican Summer”. Get Samuel Adams on tap from $4 – $6 and canned from $3 – $5. Also, RAMMY award winner Trevor Frye will be making beer snowcones for $4. Then come back on July 4 for “AmeriCan Drink-Dpendence Day” on the rooftop. Snake Dog IPA and Easy IPA are $4 from 12-5pm and $5 until the fireworks end. Drafts are $4-$6. Get drunk. Watch the fireworks. Avoid the tourists.
Shake Shack: Shake Shack is serving Shack X, a new IPA created exclusively for Shake Shack by Brooklyn Brewery. They are also serving corn dogs and blueberry pie custard all Fourth of July weekend. Very American.
Spirit Cruises: An open bar, dinner buffet, music, air conditioning. Oh, and you can watch the fireworks from the Potomac.
Odyssey Cruises: Pretty much the same as Spirit Cruises. Except you get a four course meal and a live band. Fancy.
City Tap House: City Tap House is hosting a BeerBQ Brewery battle. The City Tap House culinary team will compete with people from 3 Stars Brewing Company and Evolution Craft Brewing Company in a cook-off. For $10 you can eat BBQ favorites. City Tap House will also be serving 10 drafts from 3 Stars Brewing Company and 10 drafts from Evolution Craft Brewing Company for $5. They are also selling John Daly for $5 all day. Guests are invited to compete in a cornhole tournament.
El Centro D.F.: Both locations will be hosting a “Freedom Happy Hour” on the roof from 5pm to closing. There will be a DJ. So get drunk, dance, and celebrate America.
Flight Wine Bar: The first 40 guests to sign up can get unlimited food and beverages at Flight’s Fourth of July rooftop celebration. There will be wine, beer and tasty plates by Chef Bradley Curtis. The party is from 7-11pm.
Marx Café: Still want to party after the fireworks are done? Guest DJ Chris Callahan will be Marx Café for “We Fought the Big One: American Style.” Enjoy post-punk music, drink, and celebrate.
701: Executive Chef Benjamin Lambert will be cooking BBQ at 701’s Fourth of July cookout. Enjoy food like crispy chicken wings with mustard miso glaze from 4-9pm. Wine, beer, and summer cocktails will also be available.
Republic: The Republic is hosting its first annual Fourth of July party. There will be food, over 25 different craft beers, and local live bands. There will also be $1 oysters. You can get tickets here.
The Gibson: The Gibson is debuting their $6 alcoholic popsicles at “Gibson Family Reunion” from 12-8pm. Pair that with $1 burgers and hotdogs. DJ Jasmine and DJ Eskimo will be spinning on the back patio.
