October is National Hispanic Heritage Month, which means it’s time to celebrate. Maybe that includes heading over to the National Museum of Women in the Arts to stare at Frida Kahlo’s Self-Portrait Dedicated to Leon Trotsky. Maybe it means attending Smithsonian Education events. Maybe it just means happy hours.

Cactus Cantina – Monday through Friday, from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. Cactus Cantina in Cathedral Heights offers $4 sangria, beer, and wine. And obviously $5 margs.

El Centro D.F. – The specials at El Centro are $4 during their Monday through Friday happy hour featuring margs, sangria, Mexican beers, and wine. Happy hour is between 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Cuba Libre -Happy hour is Sunday through Friday from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. You can get a Cuba Libre (makes sense) for $5 and their house wine and sangria for $4. And if you want some ~ snackz ~ with your drinks take a look at our Taste Test for some ideas.

Jaleo – At Jaleo Happy Hour is called Sangria Hour and you can get it for $5 a the glass. WOO. It’s Sunday through Friday from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

El Chucho – Happy hour is everyday from 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. According to our Best Tacos, Guac and Margaritas in DC Guide, El Chucho has half price tacos and their on tap drinks go for $4.
