Halloweekend is upon us and I’m only hating myself a little for saying that. Speaking of hating yourself, this is the most important holiday for happy hours this year considering Halloween is on a Saturday, meaning you can totally afford a hangover on Sunday. Get that skeleton (costume) out of your closet because Halloween is going to be so good this year that it’s literally killing us.

Halloween Happy Hour and Costume/Masquerade Party @ Takoma Station Tavern: Friday, October 30. Drink and food specials are 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., and the best part is that there’s no cover for ~gals~ until 10 p.m., and no cover for ~ghouls~ until 8:30 p.m. Music includes Phaze II, DJ T-Rob, and Suttle. There’s also an ambiguous prize for best costume, but it’s probably worth it.

Caturday Happy Hour @ Town Tavern: Friday, October 30. Just say “caturday fundraiser” and donate $5 at the door and you’ll get happy hour pricing from 10 p.m. – 1 a.m., which means $3 domestic beers and rail drinks. Donations go to RappCats Adoption Shelter in Rappahannock County, VA. If you hate cat-themed-anything (same, it’s okay to admit that), you can still donate to the cause online.

Madam’s Organ Halloween 2015: Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31, all night long. Not only does happy hour include $7 Absolut cocktails and Jameson caskmates, but there are also going to be lots of cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place each night for a costume contest. The scariest part will be how much Jumbo Slice you’ll eat afterward.

Stoney’s Bar & Grill: Monday – Friday from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m., Stoney’s has 2-for-1 Mike’s Hard and Jagermeister. Honestly, that’s the most terrifying thing I’ve heard all season.

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari screening @ Dacha Beer Garden: On October 31, Dacha is screening the greatest movie of all time* as soon as it gets dark. In case you were wondering, the sun sets at 6:09 p.m. on Halloween, which is perfect timing. Happy hour is from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
