Georgetown GLOW is going on now through January 7th, but those outdoor light installations aren’t the only things trying to get lit this holiday season. That’s why we’ve rounded up some of the best prices for happy hours in Georgetown. Gulp down a few cold ones at these locations and pretty soon Rudolph won’t be the only one with a nice red glow.
Before you head over to see the beautiful lights, brighten up your day at El Centro’s happy hour, running from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. With $5 margaritas, house wines, and cervezas as well as discounted sangria and vino, it’s going to be a fiesta.
You’ve recognized the name from it’s acclaimed brunch menu, but we’d like to shed some light on the fact that the Peacock Cafe is awesome for happy hour as well. Running Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Peacock offers $7 burgers, $4 apps, $6 special cocktails, $4 beers, and $5 house wines and sparkling cocktails.
Get a birds-eye view of the lights show at The Graham’s rooftop observatory bar. From small plates and sweets to beer, wine, and cocktails, the Graham is guaranteed to show you a good time. And just in case you were worried about drinking outside in the middle of December, they have installed a heated tent to keep you warm as you cool off after a long work week.
If you’re in need of some liquid courage before you get up on stage and sing your heart out, Georgetown Piano Bar’s happy hour runs until 7 p.m. daily. With dollar off beers, $3.50 rail drinks, $5 house wines, and half priced appetizers, you’ll be seeing stars even before you hit the lights show.
While it doesn’t have any explicit happy hour specials, Martin’s Tavern has hosted each U.S. President from Harry S. Truman to George W. Bush, so we figured it was worth mentioning. Rest assured that Martin’s has a whole host of specialty cocktails that will get your speech as slurred as Trump’s and tavern food good enough to make you as plump as Taft. Oh and this is also the place where JFK proposed to Jackie O, so do what you will with that information.
