Happy March! Happy Women’s History Month and the month of Pi Day and Saint Patrick’s Day! There’s so much to celebrate, let’s end every sentence with exclamation points so we don’t have to think about the consequences that will come from Donald Trump’s successes during Super Tuesday! Here’s a list of places with a lot of cheap booze to go to for happy hour today, tomorrow, or whenever you feel like it! Drink to forget about politics, even if its just for one night!
Too much beer and pizza can be recipe for a very bloated, very sluggish food coma. But life is about taking risks, you guys. Pizzeria Paradiso’s happy hour goes from 5 – 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and the menu includes good stuff like $4 draft beers and house specials; appetizers for $6; small pizzas for $12; and large pizzas for $18.
The Monday through Friday happy hour at Scion goes from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. The biggest draw of the menu is probably the half price draft beers but if you’re feeling a little more ‘sophisticated’ and want a glass of wine you can get one for $6. If you want to splurge, for an extra $1 you can get one of the specialty cocktails. Snack options include spring rolls, fried pickles, edamame hummus, and sweet potato nachos.
Pearl Dive Oyster Palace’s happy hour drink specials are offered Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. You can’t go wrong with a $5 glass of red, white, or sparkling wine. If you want something a little stronger there are also Sobieski Vodka Martinis available for $7. Draft beers are half price (I don’t break my promises).
There’s something about drinking sangria that makes you feel like you no longer need to have limits because after a while it doesn’t seem like you’re drinking any alcohol. Blessing or a curse, you decide. Jaleo’s sangria hour is from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday through Friday. Sangria by the glass goes for $5 while pitchers go for $25. Cañitas (Spanish beer) is also just $3. And of course there are $4/$5 tapas, it’s Jaleo after all.
El Camino’s happy hour goes from 5p.m. – 10:30 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday so no need to worry about missing out on good drink deals if you’re running late from work. Get a $5 Camino Margarita or a glass of red or white wine for $5. Rail drinks are also $5 and if you want some chips and salsa just throw in an extra $1 .
