We love drinking. We love to be entertained by people while drinking (and I’m not talking about being entertained by those who have possibly drunk too much). So why not put those things together? Well, WE DID. Here are some cheap drinking and/or cheap watching (for the voyeur in you) happening this week. So take in a show and many drinks.

  • Tuesday September 24: Okay so there’s no happy hour specials for this event, but it’s a free concert so get over it.  Go dance to some soulful samba and psychedelic Brazilian music (because that is a real thing and is awesome) at the National Geographic courtyard from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
  • Friday September 27: Okay again, there’s no happy hour drinks and this show sadly is not free, but it’s for a good cause, right? RIGHT. So starting Friday and going through Sunday the Hard Rock Café, City of Hope, and Pink Jams! are partnering up to bring you a music festival that not only is awesome, but benefits breast cancer research and treatment. So go have a good time and simultaneously feel like a good person!
  • Friday September 27: FREE DANCE PARTY, WOO! DC9 is putting on an indie rock dance party, and when does that ever happen? Starts at 9pm and will feature DJs Stevie Bxx & Billy Bxx. It’s $2 drinks guys. Seriously.

  • Saturday September 28: FREE DANCE PARTY, PART DEUX! There’s a soul dance party at Haydee’s. Sadly, yet again there aren’t any free drinks, but this event is awesome and starts 9:30 pm.
  • Friday September 27: Get a little kitschy and a lot of drinky with a screening of Dr. Who and drink specials at Black Cat starting at 7 pm. You know you’re intrigued.
  • Saturday September 28: Pretend like you had enough money to actually attend Oktoberfest and go to Brats & Brews at 1905 and taste some local sausage paired with local brews this Saturday from 1-5 pm, which should pass for happy hour on a Saturday, am I right?

Then I release you, fellow lovers of the drink, into the wonderful world of happy hour.
