Get your laughs and get your drinks. Alcohol and laughing go hand in hand, so check our our picks for this week’s happy hours you should check out. Cheap drinks and free comedy — what more could you ask for?

  • For those willing to make the trek (read: Metro ride) out to Silver Spring, check out District Comedy’s Smoking Hot Comedy Night at 7:30 pm.

  • Tuesdays belong to Brixton. Happy Hour specials are extended throughout the weekly “Tuesdays with Funnie” open mic.

  • Wednesdays and Fridays are Underground Comedy nights at The Big Hunt in Dupont Circle. Like the other events here, there is no cover or drink minimum. Also, $2 shots.

  • Standup comedy night happens to coincide with half price burger night at RiRa Irish Pub in Arlington. Get burger drunk and tell your best joke — you might just win $25.

  • Underground Comedy (in its quest to monopolize the DC open mic scene) takes over Bier Baron Tavern in Dupont with $3 Natty B’Ohs and PBRs.
  • It’s Topaz Thursday in The Enlightenment Room at Dupont’s Topaz Hotel Bar. Free standup and a joke competition that can win you $25 and a beer on the house.
  • Happy Hour ends just as the After Class Comedy Show at Science Club begins. $3 Yuengling, $4 Guinness, free show.

  • Same show at The Big Hunt as Wednesday, except on Fridays there are $1 tacos.

  • This isn’t really a Happy Hour, but Shaw’s Tavern promises “Bacon, Booze and Laughter” at their “Wake & Bacon” comedy brunch on Saturdays. Brunch starts at 2, the show starts at 3.

  • Underground Comedy takes place at the Wonderland Ballroom every Sunday at 7. There is no cover for entry, and it features some of DC’s best stand up comics, as well as as few new faces.
