Did you have fun at our National Archives event? Did you not get a chance to go to our National Archives event because it sold out so quickly? Well, lucky for you, and perfectly in time for the 4th of July weekend ease-in, Archives is throwing another variation of the cocktail party around their Spirited Republic exhibit and you should go.
Patriotic Cocktail Competition and Tasting will take place on July 1st, and invite you to join them for an evening of cocktails and competition all for a good cause. You will have the opportunity to taste exclusive cocktails created by 10 of the top bartenders from around the country as they get judged by the local cocktail heroes Duane Sylvestre of Bourbon Steak, JP Fetherston of Mockingbird Hill, and the Archivist of the United States, David Ferriero. BONUS: The event will be emceed by Derek Brown. After the competition, guests are invited to drink cocktails and enjoy after-hours access to the museum. Guided tours of the National Archives Museum’s latest exhibit Spirited Republic: Alcohol in American History will also be available. Tickets are $65 for the public and $60 for Foundation members. All proceeds will go to support the National Archives Foundation. Nothing not to like.
You should obviously buy the tickets, but we also have a pair to give away. To enter to win, leave us a comment telling us what your favorite summer cocktail in DC is and why. We’ll pick a winner by COB Wednesday, June 24th. Cool? Cool.
