Embassy Chef Challenge is a night unlike any other. It takes one of the best parts of D.C. (our vibrant embassy scene) and pairs it with the thing we love most in the world (killer cocktails and food) to create an event that feels simultaneously like a vacation and a Food Network show. Why isn’t this on Food Network? Someone get Bobby Flay in here. Or better yet, Alton Brown.

For the uninitiated, Embassy Chef Challenge pits embassy chefs against embassy chefs to see who can create the best dish in the city. In the past, our favorite bites have included dolmades from Cyprus, duck pâte from Czech Republic and chipilín leaf tamales from Guatemala. You never know what you’re going to eat (or drink) and that’s half the fun.
