Last year, ARLINGTON ARTS CENTER hosted their 1st edition of CRITIQUE THE CRITICS benefit, where journalists covering cultural events in DC competed in a live art competition using art supplies from childhood – the audience got to play critic by voting for the champion.
I participated and lost (putting my art school education to shame) in a particularly dismal etch-a-sketch face off with Danielle O’Steen of Post Express and am apparently still so unscathed by it that I’m returning to it this weekend, for the second annual contest.
Aside from seeing me squirm other motivations for attending this shebang on Saturday include:
- amazing contemporary art
- an exciting silent auction
- designer cocktails and open bar
- delicious catering
- sexy tunes
- and helping ARLINGTON ARTS CENTER.
TRASH TALK HAS STARTED ALREADY:
