There’s no better way to close out Funny Human of the Day week, as inspired by the District of Comedy Festival happening this weekend, than by featuring Ike Ufomadu, writer/performer/ENTERTAINER who’s in town as a part of the Joe’s Pub takeover of the Atrium at the Kennedy Center. Ike is a NYC staple, a favorite at a number of variety and comedy shows there. Recently Words With Ike, his shortform video series, was featured on IFC and Vice. Let’s watch one of those to get acquainted!
What a charming weirdo, right? Here’s a monologue he performed as a part of his live talk show Ike At Night a few years back! So good.
Here’s a conversation Ike had with Jess Lane, based around his work on The Special Without Brett Davis. They’ve had a ton of fun over there.
Man Ike’s Twitter presence reminds me of the old, good Twitter, not the one that’s a source of constant and unending anxiety, but the one full of obtuse one-liners and shaggy observations. Here are some recent favs from Ike:

It was Earth Day recently, right? Not sure. Regardless, Ike’s here with an Earth Day greeting.
Before we go, one more Ike At Night Clip! This one’s called Letterman and it’s inspired by the then-recent announcement of David Letterman’s retirement from late night television. Things get pretty emotional.
