It’s that time again, time to talk about a rising comedy person, it’s Funny Human of the Week! We’re all very excited for Bentzen Ball, our annual comedy festival produced with Tig Notaro, which is coming up in just a few weeks. Brittany Carney, this week’s featured Human, will be performing at the festival’s Emerging Voices showcase of some of DC’s best comics, happening twice on October 27, at 5:30 and 10 p.m. at the Eaton Workshop!
Brittany is an exciting voice in the DC standup scene, having featured for a ton of big names and performed at festivals (including twice at the Kennedy Center’s District of Comedy Festival) around the country. Let’s get into it and watch a clip of our new friend performing at the DC Improv, opening for Judah Friedlander! Tons of good stuff here.
More standup from Brittany! This is her performing in NYC at a show hosted by the incredible Aparna Nancherla! Great!
You know who’s funny on Twitter? Our new friend Brittany, of course! Let’s all go follow her, so we can see solid posts like these ones all the time in our feeds! Some of these nugs are super provocative thought experiments:
how can u say muppets aren’t sexual when there’s a literal spinoff about them as babies. They’re leaving important biology out of the narrative and this prudishness is what shapes unhealthy sex education!

Rabbits’ teeth never stop growing so they have to fucka gnaw 24/7. Imagine if our teeth were like that and how it would change our natural and built landscape, evolutionarily. Dentistry would look different. Trees might grow more branches. Dicks would have exoskeleton
