Still the funniest, cutest song about being batshit insanecrazy (so sort of appropriate for Pre-Halloween?)

Lo Fang “You’re The One That I Want”

A perfectly moody October cover of the John Travolta/Olivia Newton John leather pants classic

Jenn Tisdale

Siouxsie and the Banshees “Peek-A-Boo”

A week before Halloween you say? Everyday is Halloween for me. Basically this means I watch horror movies nearly all the time only occasionally breaking for Murder, She Wrote or The Waltons (which if you think about it are both horrifying in their own ways). This song is featured in the film Jeepers Creepers which I feel doesn’t get the credit it deserves. It’s been a long time since I’ve been truly frightened by a monster in a scary movie. If you’ve somehow never seen it I’m sure it’s available somewhere under some OnDemand movie collection entitled “Movies That Will Make You Shit Your Pants,” or similar. All hail Halloween.

Run The Jewels

The new RTJ2 ‘leaked’ thanks to Killer Mike and El-P being Killer Mike and El-P. Download the free album. Killer Mike and El-P are cool.

RTJ is great but it’ll be hard for Killer Mike and El-P to top 2012’s “Reagan.”

Alan Zilberman

Scott Walker + Sunn O))) – “Brando”

Just in time for your creepy Halloween party, two experimental/extreme music icons collaborate on “Soused,” a terrific album that’ll make your guests shit your pants if you play it loud enough. The music video is great, too.
