- Saturday, April 30 – NGA is holding a cine-concert for the 1920’s film Faust. I can’t imagine anything more beautiful / weird.

- Wednesday, April 27Â – If you’re looking for something a little more DIY, Triathalon, Earring, and Jauze are at Bathtub Republic.
- Wednesday, April 27 – Wrestlemania may have come and gone, but Wrestlebuddies is still here! Catch them at Black Cat to get your daily recommended dose of the squared circle.
- Thursday, April 28 – The National Parks, The Brevet, and Radio Birds are at DC9.
- Thursday, April 28 – Head to Songbyrd to catch Maryjo Mattea, Party Like It’s, and the Uptown Boys Choir.
- Thursday, April 28 – Hemlines, Shell Shag, Teenage Halloween (what a name!), and Foster Carrots are at Black Cat. This seems like it will be a good show.
- Friday, April 29 – The best band name of the week goes to Your Mother And I Are Separating. You can catch them at VFW Post 350 (in Tacoma Park!) with Blast, BUST OFF., and Skumboyz.
- Friday, April 29 – DC9 invites you to throw away your phone, drink some cheap beer, and dance.

- Saturday, April 30 –Â Flag of Democracy, Soul Glo, Glittoris, Bidet, and Psychic Subcreatures are playing at The Pinch. I cannot get over that combination of band names. It’s so fantastic.

- Monday, April 25 – Head to the Black Cat for the book release of Tim Follos‘ This Was My Night & This Was A Lot of Other Nights. Scanners and Mirror Motives will perform! It will be great.
- Monday, April 25 – The National Archives is hosting journalist Joshua Hammer as he talks about his book, The Bad-Ass Librarians of Timbuktu: And Their Race to Save the World’s Most Precious Manuscripts.
- Monday, April 25 – Come to Busboys and Poets to here all about Ari Rabin-Havtto’s book Lies, Incorporated: The World of Post-Truth Politics.

- Thursday, April 28 – A guy named Kevin McCloskey loves pigeons so much he wrote an entire book about it called The Poop With Pigeons. Go hear him talk about it at Politics & Prose.
