  • Monday, August 21 – The Chevy Chase Library is showing Love and Death.
  • Tuesday, August 22 – Can I Kick It? is back at Songbyrd! Go see Shaolin Challenges Ninja.
  • Wednesday, August 23 –  Careful Not To Cry is screening at Suns Cinema. Proceeds from the showing go to the DC Abortion Fund, so you can feel extra good about getting drunk at Suns on a Wednesday.
  • Wednesday, August 23 – Catch Whiskey Tango Foxtrot at the West End Library.
  • Saturday August 26 – Head on over to NGA to see some sweet French cinema like Sans lendemain and La tendre ennemie.
  • Saturday, August 26 – John Carpenter’s Big Trouble in Little China is playing at Suns Cinema.
  • Sunday, August 27 – If you’re looking for a movie that’s kind of like Madame Butterfly, go to NGA to see Yoshiwara.
  • Sunday, August 27 – Go back to Suns to catch Paris, Texas.

  • Monday, August 21 – Catch No Small Children, Pretty Indulgences and The Dusty Stars at DC9.
  • Wednesday, August 23 – Port City and Cotton & Reed are joining forces to throw a mid-week party! Go get drunk on rum and beer cocktails and eat some free CAVA.
  • Thursday, Friday, Sunday August 24,25,27 – Party in a giant Snow Globe at National Harbor with REAL SNOW!
  • Thursday, August 24 – Aaron Abernathy is at Luce Unplugged and you should be too.

  • Saturday, August 26 – Get drunk and hear bad fanfic at Fantom Comics.
  • Saturday, August 26 – Grab some $10 to the 17th Street Festival. There will be vendors and artists and drags and DJs and it’s going to be nice.
  • Saturday, August 26 – Handsome Hound, Bearcat Wildcat and Lucy Isabel are at Black Cat. I love the name Bearcat Wildcat with all my heart.
  • Sunday, August 27 – Go back to Slash Run one last time to see Lost Balloons, Radiator Hospital, The Rememberables and Scanners.
