  • Thursday, October 5 – This screening of Arreo is a great excuse to hang out at the Embassy of Argentina.
  • Saturday, October 7 – NGA is playing the grandma movie Katatsumori, and a fish movie Fish Tail.
  • Saturday, October 7 – The VVitch is one of the best horror movies to come out in the last few years. Go see it at Suns.
  • Saturday, October 7 – Hunker down and get serious at NGA’s screening of Death and Devil.
  • Sunday, October 8 – Catch Edie & Thea: A Very Long Engagement at Black Cat‘s Queer Girl Movie Night.
  • Sunday, October 8 – Dive into some sweet French body horror with Eyes Without A Face at Suns.
  • Sunday, October 8 – Get sad and experimental at NGA’s screening of Havarie.

  • Wednesday, October 4 – Go to Rhizome DC to catch Selector Dub Narcotic, Escape-ism, TK Echo and Gauche.
  • Wednesday, October 4 – Sweet Spirit, Eric Slick (from Dr. Dog!) and Tinnarose are at Black Cat.
  • Wednesday, October 4 – X__X, Kohoutek, Dot Dash and XMC  are taking over Slash Run.

  • Thursday, October 5 – The Washington Project for the Arts is throwing a release party for the zine “We Are SO Not Getting the Security Deposit Back; a Guide to Defunct Artist-Run Spaces”. God that’s a great name.
  • Friday, October 6 – The QREW dance party is back at Songbyrd.
  • Friday, October 6 – Above the Bayou is hosting Erik Phillips, Foster Carrots and Yukon.
  • Saturday, October 7 – Party it up at OPUS 1, Merriweather’s free festival.
  • Saturday, October 7 – Kohti Tuhoa, E.D.S., Iron Cages and Secular Media are at Slash Run. They’re just killing it with these band names.
  • Saturday, October 7 – Porchfest takes over Adams Morgan.
  • Saturday, October 7DC9 is throwing a Monster Mash party! If the entire night isn’t just remixes of the “Monster Mash” I’m going to be disappointed.
