- Every Monday in October – Dodge City will hold a Halloween Movie Monday every Monday this October with no cover. Each night will begin with an episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark? followed by a cheesy Halloween movie. Free candy, too.
- Friday, October 31st– Fear at the Freer! Come get in the Halloween spirit with a screening of the movie that inspired the American thriller The Ring. Also, learn about spooky objects in the Freer Gallery, make your own Freer-inspired mask, and enjoy Japanese food for sale from the Tokyo in the City food truck starting at 5 pm.
- Tuesday, October 28th– Stand-up Variety Show at Nick’s Riverside Grill. Â Doors open at 6:00pm.
- Tuesday, October 28th– District Trivia at Acre 121. Â Come by at 7:30pm and test your knowledge.
- Tuesday, October 28th– Last Resort- Open Mic Laughs at Bier Baron Tavern. Â Show starts at 7:30pm.
- Tuesday, October 28th– If Birds Could Fly at Hill Country Live. Â Doors open at 8:30pm.
- Wednesday, October 29th– Jewelry Trunk Show with John Wind Maximal Art at the Cancer Support Community DC Office. Â Proceeds from jewelry sales will benefit CSC. Â Doors open at 5:00pm.
- Wednesday, October 29th– Tweet-tober trivia with Digital District. Â Test your digital knowledge at 6:00pm at Diego.
- Wednesday, October 29th– Underground Comedy at the Big Hunt. Â Doors open at 7:30pm.
- Wednesday, October 29th– Caz and the Day Laborers and the Far East at Bossa. Â Come check out some great Reggae Music. Â Only $5.00. Â Doors open at 9:00pm.
- Wednesday, October 29th– Digitalism at U Street Music Hall. Â $10 to see the show. Â Doors open at 9:00pm.
- Thursday, October 30th– Ha!lloween: Part Theme Party, Part Comedy Show, All Hallows Eve at Bier Baron Tavern. Â Break out your best costume and come watch some great comedy. Â $10 in advance, $13 at the door. Â Show starts at 6:30pm.
- Thursday, October 30th– 23rd Anniversary Event at Urban Country featuring a silent action with merchandise from local Bethesda area restaurants and retailers. Â Starts at 6:30pm.
- Thursday, October 30th– Living Room Live with Victorio Menghi at the Ritz Carlton Georgetown. Â Come here some tango-fusion music. Doors open at 7:00pm.
- Friday, October 31st– The Loser’s Lounge and Halloween Boogie Down at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage. A dance party and costume contest featuring music by The Loser’s Lounge. Dance lessons for “The Monster Mash,” “The Time Warp” and “Thriller” will be provided starting at 5:00pm and live music starts at 6:00pm.
- Friday, October 31st– Town Tavern Comic-Con Halloween Party. Break out your best costume for Town Tavern’s annual costume contest, complete with drink specials. Â The fun starts at 5:00pm.
- Friday, October 31st– Free Loft Late Night Music with Shartel and Hume at the Hamilton. Doors open at 6:00pm.
- Friday, October 31st– Fadó Halloween Bash at Fadó Irish Pub featuring a costume contest with the grand prize being a trip to Boston. Don’t miss your chance. Starts at 9pm.
- Friday, October 31st– Gloween’s Nightmare on Hysteria Street featuring Bingo Players at Echostage. Show starts at 9:00pm.
- Friday, October 31st– Halloween with Make More Animals at Acre 121. Live music, drink specials and the best costume wins a free bar tab.
- Saturday, November 1st– Free Loft Late Night Music with Moonshine Society at the Hamilton. Doors open at 9:00pm.
- Saturday, November 1st –Â Yards Park is hosting its first ever GraveYards event. This giant Day of the Dead festival is packed with musical performances, street performers, food and a beer garden. And admission is totally free!
- Saturday, November 1st– U Street Jazz Jams at Dukem Restaurant and Bar. Doors open at 10:00pm.
- Sunday, November 2nd– Underground Comedy at Wonderland Ballroom. Show starts at 7:00pm.
- Â Thursday, October 30th-Â Free Wine and Cheese Tasting at Sonoma Restaurant and Wine Bar. End National American Cheese Month with a bag and try some free artisanal cheeses. Starts at 4:30pm.
- Friday, October 31st–  The DC Sip: Wine tasting and sale at Paul’s Wine and Spirit’s in Friendship Heights.  Starts at 5:30pm.
- Friday, October 31st– Capital Harvest on the Plaza at Woodrow Wilson Plaza at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. Come get some recipes, watch cooking demonstrations and get some great food from a variety of vendors. 11am-3pm.
- Saturday, November 1st– DC Meet Market in the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church parking lot at 15th and P street. Over 40 local vendors. 11am-5pm.
- Saturday, November 1st– The K Street Farm Festival. Come celebrate the Fall harvest and see all the healthy food that is grown right here in the Nation’s Capital. This event also features culinary demonstrations, herb garden tours, live music and a pig roast. Â Runs from 1-5pm.
- Tuesday, October 28th- Take an OM break with Yoga at the Georgetown Neighborhood Library. Free one-hour class beginning at 12:30. Email [email protected] to register.
