Saturday, March 16th, 1pm. Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn go on location with Oscar-winning director John Huston in the African countries of Kenya, Uganda and the Republic of Congo, and in London to film a timeless jungle adventure based on C.S. Forester’s novel of the same name set in World War I Africa. Tony Huston will be on hand for the discussion afterwards. Part of the Environmental Film Festival.

Saturday, March 16th, 2pm. A two part celebration of Marseille, featuring gorgeous young French people, open-air cinematography reminiscent of the French new wave and more. Make a day out of it: check out the Pre-Raphaellites show as well as Fakin’ It in the gallery itself.

Saturday, March 16th- start things off with checking out SLAVIC SOUL PARTY’S show for FREE at 6pm @ The Millenium Stage at the Kennedy Center, and finish off with the FREE Ottomania dance party @ Zeba (featuring Black Massala live, to boot).

Thursday, March 16th, 6-8:30pm at The Dunes.  Aztec Chocolate Chess Pie, Nectarine, Mascarpone & Gingersnap Tart, and a Bourbon Bacon Pecan Pie are just some of the pies included in the sampling you’d get for a $7 bargain donation at the door. Plus a DJ, those adorable Runcible Spoon girls around and more.



Just a gentle reminder than both the National Zoo AND the US Botanic Garden are completely free to attend. Feel like splurging: check out the gorgeous Butterfly Pavillion at the Natural History Museum for $6 to round the day out.

$5Banh Mi, $5 featured beer, $5 featured cocktail – 5-7pm, with $20 scorpion bowls to share. This means that for under $20 a person you can be full, happy and slightly wasted in no time. Super flattering hang-out lighting included.


Meditation Satsang – silent meditation followed a spiritual program and  vegetarian meal – every Sunday except the 1st Sunday of the month . 3:00pm – 6:00pm. Thursday, March 14th – Hilarious Happy Hour (which is the name of the show, literally) @ Tabaq, starts at 8pm

Our quick scan of the FREE STUFF Clist section yesterday involved: a free 60″ basement TV (?), free dirt, some CD/DVD binders (cause that’s still a thing), a broken keypad microwave, some boxes in Annandale, a free Queen Bed Frame in Adelphi, and a framed print with a boat theme that you can probably hang above your new free basement TV.
