  • Fiola Mare
Fabio Trabocchi’s new Italian fine dining spot just opened in Georgetown and we’d say it’s the perfect place to enjoy some waterside brunch. Check out our first look and you’ll see that the space is gorgeous and prime for brunch perching whether you’re in the stunning enclosed patio or that beautiful main dining room. (The back bar and private dining rooms aren’t too shabby, either.) Enjoy brunch specials like Italian Shrimp & Grits with soft polenta and Red King prawns, the Uova in Camicia with two poached eggs, smoked salmon, rosemary hollandaise and warm chive biscuits, or the lemon mascarpone pancakes with apple butter, candied almonds and bourbon barrel aged maple syrup.
  • Republic
And the newest Blacks Restaurant Group darling recently opened in Takoma park with brunch options galore. To start feast on appetizers of wood grilled bay oysters, slow-cooked corn grits, and beignets, then dive into some serious entrees like the Brioche French Toast with Black Rock Orchard pear compote and real maple syrup, or any number of poached farm eggs with barbeque butter-poached gulf shrimp and herb toast, slow braised pork belly, spicy black beans and avocado, or even wood grilled hanger steak, pommes frites and Sauce Béarnaise.
  • P.J. Clarke’s
For a classic American brunch, there’s always P.J. Clarke’s and its reliable favorites like caramel apple pancakes, Roseda Farms Flat Iron steak & eggs, or the Chesapeake Eggs Benedict with jumbo lump crab cakes and asparagus. Oh, and did we mention they’ve got brunch sides like crisp parmesan tater tots, smoked country bacon and cheesy cheddar grits?

  • Poste Brasserie
With all this sunshine we’re craving the outdoors (or at least a great view of it), so this weekend check out Poste and its beautiful (heated) patio. While there taste your way through small plates like the duck fat donuts (the winner of our BYT Donut Fest) or even a bowl of French onion soup. Then select anything from the Harissa Skirt Steak with fries and choice of blue cheese butter, bearnaise or tomato jam, to the chorizo and eggs with spiced pork sausage, stewed tomato, potatoes, roasted pepper and baked eggs. They’ve also got a selection of benedicts; the Eggs Florentine of poached eggs, vanilla braised spinach, toasted brioche and preserved lemon hollandaise sounds especially appealing, don’t you think?
  • The Source
And there’s no way we’d forget about The Source, which is one of our all-time favorite brunches in the city. Leave your palate in Chef Scott Drewno’s capable hands for Saturday Dim Sum Brunch, the dim sum tasting menu that will only set you back $32 for five tastes and $42 for eight; trust us, it’s worth every penny. Check out the Crystal Chive Dumpling (withKurobuta pork and Maryland crab),  the duck or lobster bao buns (you can’t go wrong with either), The Hangover Cure (Chinese braised short ribs and 63° Egg), or the Sichuan “Dan Dan” Noodles with roasted pork and crushed peanuts. Are you hungry yet?
