Chef Daniel Perron, formerly of Blue Duck Tavern and Fiola Mare, has moved. Whaley’s, the raw bar at 301 Water Street SE by the Navy Yard, is now open.

Whaley’s is meant to be a neighborhood spot where residents can come to enjoy fresh catches and good drinks. The drink menu features cocktail collaborations by Brian Zipin in addition to a “thoughtfully” arranged beer and wine list.

Dinner is served Monday through Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday, 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. (kitchen closes at 1 a.m.). They will start taking reservations soon.
