We love burgers. We publish a comprehensive burger guide every summer and between all of us here at BYT, we’ve probably had every single burger available in the city at least once. D.C. may already be full with amazing restaurants that offer what we like to consider the platonic form of a sandwich, but that doesn’t mean we don’t need more. Which is why we’re very excited to try Tasty Burger. Hailing all the way from Boston, the chain is known for its quality beef and hyperlocal aesthetic.
The Shaw location is filled with a huge Metro themed mural, a fantastic picture of Samuel L. Jackson‘s Pulp Fiction character Jules eating a burger, and a sweet looking foosball table. Burgers lean toward Five Guys prices, but if you’re a student you can get a burger, fries, and a can of beer for $10. The menu also includes chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, and salads for those of us who enjoy making bad decisions.
Considering it’s stupidly close to the office, I have a feeling we’re all going to be spending a lot of time here.
Tasty Burger is located at 2108 8th Street, NW.
