Petworth has a new pizzeria. Little Coco’s is now open, ready to cater to the late night crowd and the former late night crowd that now walks around the neighborhood with kids in tow.
Located at 3907 14th St., NW, Little Coco’s isn’t in the midst of a hotbed of activity. It’s not in the rapidly expanding Shaw or the already packed 14th and U. It’s a block away from two bars we really like, Red Derby and Lyman’s Tavern. It’s a welcome addition to the neighborhood and the D.C. dining scene.
While we can’t vouch for the food, come back soon for our Taste Test, the bar selection is impressive. Their amaro selection is a Negroni connoisseurs dream. Their Italian beer selection and wine list is also impressive, but it’s the amaro that stands out. Who else is specializing in after-dinner digestifs?
Because Little Coco’s is opening in 2016 and they want to succeed, it does have outdoor seating on the second floor.
Little Coco’s is the brainchild of the people behind El Chucho, that Mexican place you like in Columbia Heights that always seems full. Like El Chucho, it will soon have patio outdoor seating. Like El Chucho, it wouldn’t be surprising if it’s difficult to get a seat.
