WOW! BYT and Take Care have joined forces to bring you a new series online and off, and the first Local Lips Event was amazing- we so enjoyed hearing all of your thoughts and questions, as we gathered to discuss the concept of finding balance, both personally and professionally. PLUS, there was a PUPPY.
A huge thank you to our amazing event partners, and to the inspiring women who sat on our first panel: lifestyle and wellness blogger, Chelsea Williams, Leah Beilhart of Behold. Her and Emma Kingsley of conscious clothing company, Lady Farmer.
We already can’t wait for next month’s event. Be sure to keep your eye out for online content related (including interviews with our amazing panelists and other women of note) to it and info on upcoming events!

After the panel, we spoke to a few attendees to discuss with them what they thought balance meant, and what they do to try and achieve that balance in their lives.
“Boundaries and routines…. [My husband and I] make 10 minutes each day to put away our electronics and sit and have a real conversation. It’s important to really reconnect with the most important people in your life. “- Elise Crawford
“Since my mind is constantly set on creating, whether I’m at my studio or at home, I find balance by focusing on external sources of inspiration, such as the work of artists and designers I admire or conversations with creative friends.” – Veronia Revilla
“It’s about finding the balance between having to do something and doing something because you love it… you have to find ways to sustain your passion” – Niccara Campbell
Once again, a GIANT thank you to our amazing event partners!
