Welcome to BYT’s newest “hot damn, how could I live without this” column, Eating Out. We’ll be highlighting one food or booze special event every night of the week. From the best happy hours in the city to the uber expensive $500 per person tasting menus, there is something good to eat or drink every single night in this city and we want to help you find it. And yes, we get the joke.
Whether you’re gluten free or a gluten lover, GCDC’s Gluten Free Takeover night is sure to please. They’ll be serving up cheesy specials on gluten free bread from Rise Bakery and mixing up noodly concoctions with lots of ooey gooey cheese. All beers will be replaced with seasonal hard ciders. Rumor has it they’re even cooking up a tasty dessert for the evening as well. You’ll be begging please for more cheese this Wednesday at CGDC.
Swing by the Fairmont to see your favorite Georgetown hotel be transformed into a German Biergarten from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Enjoy an open grill with plenty of brats, live German music, and lots of draft beer flowing all evening. Just $5 will get you a grilled sausage and sides. Another $5 will get you a draft beer. This event is held every night at the same time from October 23-27, so make sure to stop by and celebrate the end of October the right way.
The cool thing to do now is to eat dinner really late. ChiKo want’s to help you achieve peak coolness with a 10:00 p.m. to midnight dinner featuring dishes from Chefs Lee and Drewno plus special guest Chef Sheldon Smith. Enjoy all traditional ChiKo menu items plus $8 specials from the chefs. Walk ins are welcome and alcohol specials will be announced at the event. Grab your friend or significant other and kick off your weekend with a dining adventure.
Looking to try some new food and maybe even learn how to cook it for your friends and family? Masala Art D.C. is offering an afternoon cooking class from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. where participants can watch cooking demonstrations from the head chef and then eat their way through a menu of tasty Indian dishes. Tickets are $47 per person or $90 per couple. Tickets will not be available at the door, so get them while they’re available!

Join DJ Farrah Flosscett for an afternoon of bottomless brunch from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wear your Halloween costume and get your brunch free if you win best costume. Bottomless snacks and drinks are just $35 per person if you come at 1:00 p.m., $25 if you come at 2:00 p.m., and $20 if you come at 3:00 p.m. So, come when you can and drink what you want all afternoon at The Dirty Goose.
