Welcome to BYT’s newest “hot damn, how could I live without this” column, Eating Out. We’ll be highlighting one food or booze special event every night of the week. From the best happy hours in the city to the uber expensive $500 per person tasting menus, there is something good to eat or drink every single night in this city and we want to help you find it. And yes, we do get the joke.
Look, the world is a deeply weirder and more upsetting place than we though it was. Go to a nice market and eat some fancy cheese. It won’t change anything, but it might make you feel a little bit better because cheese is awesome and delicious. Get a beer while you’re there. Get a beer whenever you go to Glen’s. They’re $4. There’s no excuse.
Pizzeria Paradiso is celebrating their 25th anniversary all week long. Stop by to enjoy some of their classics for some incredibly low prices. I’m talking $6.95 for a pizza low. All of the locations are getting in on the specials, so mosey on over to whichever one is closest to you and fill your stomach with pizza and beer.
Remember when we used to throw a Beaujolais party? Do you at least remember the hangovers? Well, we’ve traded in “drink a whole bottle of wine by yourself” parties for museum parties, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get in the spirit and celebrate. Head to Malmaison where for $30 you can enjoy unlimited wine and one crepe. You’ll be hammered in no time.
It’s the perfect time of the year to drink cider. Homestead has teamed up with Potter’s Craft to create a three course dinner with paired cider. Go if you feel like drinking fermented apples and feeling kind of fancy.
Make your brunch a little more interesting this weekend. Head to Songbyrd to get day drunk and listen to some good music. Songbyrd’s a chill place, so I bet they wont even mind if you get up to dance.
Your week looks delicious.
