Welcome to BYT’s newest “hot damn, how could I live without this” column, Eating Out. We’ll be highlighting one food or booze special event every night of the week. From the best happy hours in the city to the uber expensive $500 per person tasting menus, there is something good to eat or drink every single night in this city and we want to help you find it. And yes, we get the joke.

tuesdaySfoglina Restaurant Opening

The people that brought you Casa Luca (AKA one of our favorite restaurants in 2016 / where the Obamas went last weekend) have opened a new restaurant. If it’s anything like its sister restaurant, it’s going to be amazing. Stay tuned for our first look.

Go Eat At Federalist Pig

There’s nothing special happening at Federalist Pig tonight, but since we stopped by last week, it’s become our favorite place to get BBQ in the city. Stop by, and pile up your plate with lots and lots of meat.

3rd Annual Ugly Sweater Party

Approaching its third year, Roofers Union’s ugly sweater party has already become one of the season’s can’t-miss beer events. Especially popular within the industry, the party turns out local brewers and their reps in force. Of course, you’re welcome, too, and you’re free to consume a smattering of beers from the area’s three provinces: DC (3 Stars, Atlas Brew Works, Hellbender, Right Proper), Maryland (Brewer’s Art, Burley Oak, Denizens, Franklins, Jailbreak, Manor Hill, RaR, Union Craft) and Virginia (Hardywood , Lost Rhino, Mad Fox, Port City).” –Draft Picks

Abita Tapping Night @ Bier Baron

If you want to pretend you’re in the middle of the balmy French Quarter and not stuck in frigid D.C., Bier Baron is where you want to find yourself. They’ll have a variety of beers, including Big Easy, Purple Haze, and Abita’s Christmas Ale. Not to mention, Bier Baron is really the only bar in Dupont I fuck with. Where else can you drink quality beer and listen to Rob Zombie in that neighborhood?

saturdayThe Pansaari Supper Club @ Pansaari

If you’re looking for a long and sumptuous evening of eating, look no further. Pansaari is hosting a multi course meal made of all the Indian food you could dream of. From Roti, to Daal Navrattan, to Kutchi Dabeli, you’re going to be very full.

Mess Hall is doing Sunday the right way with their 2nd annual latke cook off. Stop by to watch your favorite chefs get wild and weird with your favorite holiday food. It’s going to be delicious.

Your week looks delicious.
