Hope you all had great Easter and Passover feasts, and a fun time with your loved ones! But now it’s time for some style feast by our very own DC bloggers! These week’s looks have color splashes, polka dots, white shades, oversized bows and skirts! While photographing the new Wear. Strut. Occupy. installation at the Corcoran, which combines fashion, costume design, and performance art, I spotted these stylish attendees. On Chris of queer art collective Boys Be Good, I love the combination of an edgier haircut and round, studious glasses and a clean cut button-up. He takes what would be a very typical Washingtonian red check shirt and turns it on its head; fantastic! In the next shot, the one-two, glasses-haircut punch works again, but in a totally different way; the fade with blonde really elevates this and makes the look feel more dangerous. Though Washingtonians are typically safe, I relish running into the sartorial risk-takers like these two. Well done!

This outfit combines two of my favorite trends for Spring: pastel green and oversized bows. For contrast I painted my toe nails hot-pink and I’m wearing magenta lipstick. See a close-up of the adorable bow belt on The President Wears Prada.

Whenever I think of bows or polka dots, the little girl inside me giggles with joy. And to have them both paired in one outfit makes me feel all extra girly that day! I also love flowy skirts like the one below that I bought them in two colors; one in peach and one in coral (pictured below). I love how these skirts move and swirls with every stride I take and always gives me that extra bounce in my steps whenever I wear one.

I like to have balance when I wear clothes, especially when I’m choosing a “going out outfit.” If what I’m wearing on the bottom is tight fitting or short, I like to keep the top part covered or loose fitting. You could wear this outfit to a night out with friends or to a date. The leather shorts give the outfit somewhat of an edge, pops of color are found from the shirt and clutch, and the blazer brings together a polished look.
