Since I’m constantly shooting, I tend to become friends with many of my most stylish subjects, since I can’t seem to stop taking their picture. The lovely Shannon Cusello is one of those people; though petite, her style packs a sweet punch. I stopped by Immortal Beloved, which she manages, and fell a little bit in love with her blush sequins and perfectly layered necklaces. So dreamy! This is a perfect look to transition into nice weather…and her auburn hair makes everything pop perfectly.

The gingham shirt can be versatile and look fun and casual yet still look work appropriate by styling it with a pencil skirt/trousers because the pattern and bright colors gives a nice punch versus a plain, solid button down blouse.

As you can see below, I am wearing the R&R skinny jeans that I got from Kohl’s a few weeks ago. The price point was great on sale and even got additional discount off as well with a promo code. However, the sizing does run a bit large since the material has some stretch in it, so I would size down if possible. Other than that, the material is super comfy and definitely pretty good quality for R&R jeans at Kohl’s.

For my outfit, I wanted to tone down everything and let this cobalt blue blazer shine on its own. Definitely brightens up a dull day and cool spring temps we’ve been getting recently. Also breaking out my “something new” to enjoy the day.

It was a quiet but productive weekend at our casa, filled with necessary evils such as filing taxes and reorganizing monthly budgets. Glamorous, I know. I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I’d never actually done my taxes by myself until this year, so it was a pretty big milestone for me. What’s that you say? Welcome to being an adult? Oh, why thank you!

But let’s talk about more interesting things – like this super fun orange and blue combo! I’ve always been a fan of this pairing, but while I own a ton of navy blue, I lack in the orange department. But thanks to Pantone, Tangerine Tango is the color of 2012 so I’m hoping to add a lot more of this citrus-y hue to my wardrobe. What did your weekend consist of?
