It’s Thursday and what a beautiful day, say arrivederci thunderstorms! And what better way to celebrate than this weekend’s BYT party at the French Embassy, and all the other exciting things happening this Memorial Day weekend. But before you start celebrating and embracing summer style, check out the looks from our favorite DC bloggers and be inspired for your weekend outfits! Enjoy and remember to check out their blogs for more inspirations.( And if you a street style blogger and you would like to participate in these, let us know, email [email protected])

This week I have a pair of two-for-one deals; I photographed these stylish duos out at Smith Commons during Rock Creek Social Club’s Craft Beer Week party because I enjoyed their rocking street style. This is a visual blow-up, but as always, it’s all about the details. Vintage ‘lip’ platforms, a super ahead-of-trend bandeau with some fringe, a cuffed pant with the perfect amount of man-ankle, and animal print with a bold lip. Well done, I love to see DC embracing summer style!

I think orange is having a moment. We’ve seen our share of pastels and neons popping up everywhere (which I’m totally in favor of, for the record), but I really think orange is elbowing its way into being one of the colors of the summer. I saw tons of fabulous ladies rocking this shade at the CapFABB meet up last night – which is where I wore this outfit – and I have to say I love how vibrant and refreshing it is! I’ve been noticing it slowly infiltrating my wardrobe and ya know what? I’m perfectly okay with waving the white flag of surrender!

Colorblock Casual | Cobalt, Gingham Yellow and Fuchsia

When I was in Philly over the weekend, I was surprised to find that the nights were much cooler in temps compared to MD. So I decided to pair this outfit together for those warm days but cooler nights for those who currently are transitioning from Spring to Summer. I don’t know about you, but I typically like to keep my upper half of my body warmer than the bottom, so I always like to bring a blazer or cardigan on hand ready to wear when the temps drop low after the sun sets.

What she is wearing: Blazer: H&M; Top: ON Gingham Shirt; Bottom: F21 shorts (similar); Sandals: DVF (blogged here); Bag:Balenciaga; Sunnies: F21 Aviator; Jewelry: Jewelmint bow bracelet, Target gold watch, YSL ‘Love’ Arty ring; H&M fish-bone necklace

Note to self: Don’t try walking on unpaved roads/street while wearing wedges.
I bought this tank top recently at H&M and was immediately attracted to it because of the wide stripes (I’m a huge proponent for stripes) and the loose fit. When the weather gets warm, especially during the summer, I tend to gravitate towards comfortable, loose fitting tops. They give off a casual and easy look but if worn right with accessories, you can look effortless.
Perhaps I’ll wear this again for the memorial day weekend to kick off summer;)
